Apple is getting ready to announce a new 2022 Pride Apple Watch band, according to a new report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Apple tends to release a new Pride band each year, and we normally have it by now. According to Gurman, it’s still coming — and there’s a special Pride version of the Apple Watch coming with it.
A new Twitter post by Gurman says that a “new pride version of the Apple Watch should be launching fairly imminently,” suggesting that we will get a new version of the current Apple Watch Series 7, not just a new band. While that band will surely be sold separately, Gurman’s choice of words would suggest that we can expect a new Pride version of the watch itself, likely with a new watch face thrown in for good measure.
Gurman goes on to say that marketing materials have already started to arrive in Apple Stores, with products set to arrive later this week. A launch is likely to happen next week, however, with Gurman saying that marketing materials won’t be set up in-store until then.

We’ve seen a special version of an Apple Watch launch before — The Black Unity Apple Watch launched just over a year ago and it seems we can expect something similar this year but carrying the Pride colors.
