A recent update has disrupted texting for some Galaxy S22 users

Samsung recently released its September security update for the Galaxy S22.
After the update, some users are reporting that texting on carrier-locked models is broken.
The bug appears to only be affecting S22 owners in the US.

Samsung’s flagship phone, the Galaxy S22 series, just received its September security update. While the update fixes over 20 vulnerabilities, it appears to have broken texting for some S22 owners.

Discovered by PiunikaWeb, it appears that several Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra owners have submitted complaints on Samsung’s community forums and Reddit. The complaints claim that the users are no longer able to receive text messages following the most recent update.
