A new supply chain report says that iPhone 16 production began in June, but since then has ramped up in sufficient numbers to bode well for availability in mid-September.
Following both the initial production runs beginning in June, and July’s start of production in India, mass manufacturing has begun. According to ET News both Samsung Display and LG Display have expanded production ahead of Apple’s expected launch in September.
Apple is expected to produce 90 million of the iPhone 16 range, while the same report says that the number of OLED panels to be produced in 2024 will be 120 million.
